Forklift Operator: Guelph, Ontario

Summary

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the overall shipping/receiving requirements. Must ensure the correct operation of the duties and processes inside the department. The position requires for most of work to be performed operating a forklift. The tasks required to be performed will constantly vary within a work period. This position is for the afternoon shift.

Job Duties

• Load product into trucks by utilizing a forklift truck
• Verifies accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
• Prepares and processes reports
• Distributes product to stock locations
• Organized, detail-oriented
• Collects product required for orders
• Inspects packaging and product for damage
• Processes proper documentation required for all shipping/receiving needs
• Aware and practices a safe work-environment at all times
• Maintains work areas by keeping it clean and organized
• Other duties related to the job

Requirements

• Excellent eye for detail
• Able to perform physical work throughout the day
• Able to work in an environment where there could be a high degree of variation, noise and dust
• Excellent team worker
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Excellent attendance is required to fulfill operational needs
