Support resident dining as a Dietary Aide at Midland Gardens Community in Scarborough, with food handling and meal service responsibilities.
This temporary part-time evening position provides 30 hours biweekly at Midland Gardens Community. The Dietary Aide supports food service while following residents' diets, preferences, portion sizes, and required standards. Duties include meal preparation, service, sanitation, and resident menu selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow proper food handling techniques during food service
- Prepare, serve, and portion meals and beverages
- Record residents' menu choices and preferences
- Clean food preparation, dish room, and storage areas
- Set, clear, and sanitize dining room tables
Requirements:
- Familiarity with correct food service and handling procedures
- Ability to operate institutional cooking equipment
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check for Ontario applicants
- Temporary part-time evening availability for 30 hours biweekly
