Summer Camp Coordinator

Job Responsibility:

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Coordinator to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. You will have the opportunity to educate and inspire campers through various activities while fostering their personal growth and development. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with children and a background in childcare or recreation programming.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities.
• Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and learning.
• Provide guidance and support to campers, helping them develop new skills and build confidence.
• Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging inclusivity and respect among all campers.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow camp leaders to create a cohesive team environment.
• Assist in the preparation of camp facilities and materials for daily activities.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children of various ages.
• A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working in a camp environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to the day to day needs of the campers.
• First Aid/CPR certification but can be obtained after hiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
