Community Care Durham is inviting local leaders with a legal background to enhance its Board of Directors. Contributing your skills in legal assurance, and understanding regulatory compliance will be crucial for the organization’s mission in delivering support to community members over 16 years old. Applicants should have knowledge of laws including the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, health law, and contract regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the organization in legal and regulatory compliance
- Play a key role in risk management strategies
- Participate actively in board meetings
- Support the development of organizational governance policies
- Collaborate with other board members on initiatives
- Experience as a practicing or retired lawyer
- Background in legal governance and non-profit regulations
- Willingness to complete a police check
