Fibre Accountant (Temp)

Job Responsibility:
Under the direction of the Fibre Accounting Manager, the Fibre Accountant is responsible for day-to-day transactional data to the completion of the cutoffs and reconciliation of the accounts.
Areas of Responsibility:
Fibre Supply Accounting
- Prepare intercompany AR/AP report and reconcile from two different SAP instances
- Prepare aging of third party and intercompany AR
- Prepare inventory reconciliation with drone surveys
- Prepare and compare trade balances with third parties and reconcile the differences
- Prepare bank reconciliation
- Prepare month-end and biweekly JVs and post to systems
- Support in month-end activities
Fibre Accounting Governance
- Ensure accounting internal controls followed to ensure protection of resources and accuracy and reliability of accounting information
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and practices.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Technical / Expertise
- University degree in Business or Accounting and ideally working towards the designation.
- 3 years varied accounting experience
- Minimum of one year's experience in manufacturing accounting field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Keen analytic, process improving and problem solving skills
- Advance computer skill especially Microsoft excel. (Advance functions, Formulae and Power Query/editor & Power Pivot
- SAP FI tcode knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to act with high standards and integrity at all times
- Experience or knowledge of forestry industry is a plus.
