Senior Scala Developer

Job Responsibility:

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience as a Scala developer.
• Hands on development in Scala Spark and HDFS platform.
• Must have implemented project on Scala and Python platform.
• Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development BDD, Possess Big Data technology certification is preferred.
• Excellent analytical trouble shooting capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and effective collaboration abilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture and understand software requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions using Scala.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Scala.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers.
• Optimize and refactor code to improve overall system performance.
• Stay up to date with industry standard methodologies and new technologies in Scala and other related technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Montréal, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
