Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to our guests. The Food Expeditor acts as the crucial link between the kitchen and the customer. You'll manage the flow of orders, double-check that each dish is complete and accurate, and buzz guests when their order is ready for pickup. You'll need to communicate clearly with kitchen staff and maintain a smooth, steady rhythm during service.
Duties
- Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to clarify order details and address any issues.
- Maintain food safety standards by ensuring that all meals are prepared and served at the correct temperatures.
- Assist in meal preparation as needed, helping to prepare ingredients and dishes according to recipes.
- Handle cashiering duties, including processing payments and managing cash transactions accurately.
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Help train new staff members on proper procedures related to food handling and service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Experience with meal preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
