Director Major Civil Infrastructure Projects

Lead major civil infrastructure delivery in Toronto with expertise in construction operations, commercial management, and stakeholder leadership. Aecon offers this role within Major Projects East.The Director, Project leads a landmark Ontario infrastructure project supporting the Arctic Over the Horizon Radar Program. The position oversees construction, commercial, stakeholder, people, communication, and executive responsibilities. Success requires integrated project delivery experience, strong governance understanding, and commercial judgment.Key Responsibilities:
Establish safety systems and procedures across project operationsMonitor schedule, quality metrics, budget, and project closeoutManage risks, contracts, cash flow, claims, and negotiationsMaintain relationships with clients, partners, governments, and communitiesHire, coach, mentor, and lead project personnelRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalentTwenty years of construction leadership on complex major projectsExperience delivering projects valued from $500 million to $1 billionIntegrated Project Delivery, Alliance, or Progressive Design-Build experienceAbility to lead organizations exceeding 100 personnelBring construction leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder expertise to Aecon’s major infrastructure delivery in Ontario.
