PASTOR

Position Overview:

Grace Ville Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastor to join our ministry team. The Pastor will assist in supporting the spiritual growth and development of the congregation, focusing on youth, families, and community outreach. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to execute the vision and mission of Grace Ville Church in line with Kingdom principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preaching and Teaching:

• Deliver sermons and assist in planning sermon series under the guidance of the Senior Leaders.
• Teach Bible studies and lead small group discussions, particularly for youth and young adults.

2. Pastoral Care:

• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to members of the congregation.
• Visit members in hospitals, care facilities, or homes as needed.

3. Youth and Family Ministry:

• Lead and develop programs to engage children, youth, and families in the church.
• Plan and coordinate events, activities, and retreats for youth and young adults.

4. Community Engagement:

• Develop outreach initiatives to connect with the local community and share the love of Christ.
• Partner with other ministries or organizations to further community impact.

5. Administrative Support:

• Assist in planning church events and coordinating volunteers.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning of the church.

6. Worship Support:

• Collaborate with the worship team to ensure seamless worship experiences.
• Occasionally assist with leading worship if gifted in music.

Qualifications:

• A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to pastoral ministry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of the Bible and a passion for teaching God’s Word.
• Experience working with youth and/or leading church ministries is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a servant’s heart, humility, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse congregation.

Additional Requirements:

Agreement with Grace Ville Church’s statement of faith and core values.

Must be eligible to work in Canada and willing to travel to Richmond, BC.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
