Responsibilities
Tasks
- Operate and tend various wood processing machines to remove bark, knots and dirt from logs
- Complete and maintain production reports
- Operate and tend equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sections
- Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications
- Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machines
- Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery
