Sheet Metal Worker Good Air Ventilation Location 766 St Margaret's Bay Road Halifax, NS Salary 25.00 to 30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 48 hours per week Full time Day Starts as soon as possible Benefits: Other benefits Languages English or French Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 3 years to less than 5 years Work must be completed at the physical Location. Responsibilities: Design duct systems Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction Measure and mark sheet metal according to template Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Develop computerized pattern and layout Supervise other workers Cut materials using power tools or by hand Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment Fit and join sheet metal parts Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes Lay out plate, sheet steel and other heavy metal and mark lines Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers Additional information Transportation/travel information Own transportation Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Physically demanding Attention to detail Standing for extended periods Handling heavy loads Repetitive Personal suitability Team player Benefits Other benefits Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer Other benefits Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Team building opportunities Until: 2026-04-04
