First Derivative, an EPAM Company, is expanding its Toronto Practice and is seeking talented, ambitious, and commercially aware Senior Business Analysts to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transformation and regulatory change programmes with leading investment banks, capital markets firms, and financial market infrastructure providers. You will play a key role in helping clients to break down complex business problems & flows, define requirements across data, process and technology, to be implemented on or across one of more platform such as trading, post trade or data analytic platforms.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and subject matter experts to analyse requirements, deliver solutions, and support the successful implementation.

ResponsibilitiesAgile & Story Management: Facilitate Agile product teams in story and feature management, conduct story slicing to optimize delivery, and lead technical grooming sessionsGather, analyse, and document business and regulatory requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagementCreate business requirement documents, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteriaCollaborate with product owners, developers, QA teams, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycleDefine and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, potentially including test case creation, defect management, and results reportingTranslate complex business strategy/vision or regulatory obligations into clear functional and technical requirements
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field6+ years of business analysis and requirements management experience within Capital Markets or Financial ServicesExperience in agile tools e.G Jira and ConfluenceUnderstanding of trade and transaction lifecycles across different financial products/instrumentsStrong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skillsExperience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environmentsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisationStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience supporting UAT and business testing activitiesAbility to interpret complex data and business processesStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomesSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$130,000 - CA$140,000.
