Senior Mechanical Engineer Mining Projects

Drive mechanical engineering assurance for Torex Gold’s Los Reyes project from the Greater Toronto Area, with technical oversight and contractor coordination.This Senior Mechanical Engineer supports capital projects, studies, sustaining capital, and operational improvements. The work spans early studies through detailed engineering, with emphasis on mineral processing equipment, bulk material handling, and technical deliverables. Travel to Mexico is expected.Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate contractors’ mechanical design development across project stagesReview deliverables, designs, drawings, layouts, and equipment dataSupport multidisciplinary reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and risk assessmentsIdentify deviations, changes, and technical issues earlyProvide site advice and resolve field technical queriesRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldFive to eight years’ relevant mining engineering experienceKnowledge of crushers, mills, conveyors, and material handlingExperience with feasibility studies and detailed engineeringProfessional English proficiency;
Spanish considered an assetApply mechanical engineering judgment, contractor engagement, and technical assurance skills across Torex Gold’s Mexican mining projects.
