Process Operator

Rare earth elements (REEs) power technologies such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, and advanced electronics. Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is at the forefront of building the REE industry right here in Saskatchewan and were looking for a Process Operator to be part of building our cutting-edge REE Commercial Division.

This role is ideal for someone with pilot plant experience who enjoys routine operational and equipment-related tasks and wants to contribute to a team advancing real-world industrial processes.

Accountabilities
Operate equipment and perform basic troubleshooting activities following established procedures and supervisor direction
Work with team members on various process related tasks and solve issues as they arise, ensuring to escalate issues to supervisors as appropriate
Accurately measure, add, mix, and lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs
Assist with installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment
Monitor computer feedback and make basic process adjustments following clear instructions and established procedures
Occasionally perform sample collection and bench tests
Maintain a clean work area
Keep a detailed history of shift activities utilizing remarks and database entries

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Prior experience, training, or exposure to industrial, mechanical, electrical, or equipment-based work
Mechanical or electrical aptitude required; direct experience in equipment repair or maintenance is an asset
Basic understanding of Microsoft

The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
