The Transaction Diligence, Execution & Reporting practice delivers innovative end-to-end services to help our clients achieve their Growth aspirations at key moments that matter. Are you ready for a challenge? Join our team! 

What will your typical day look like?

 

During your time with us, you will participate in helping both strategic and financial buyers buy or sell businesses through detailed financial diligence. You will also benefit from ongoing learning opportunities to further develop and refine your core and technical skills.

• Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues
• Quickly develop an understanding of the target business and its drivers
• Perform interpretation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, internal financial information, publicly available information on the target business
• Undertake preparation, review and analysis of historical financial results, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditures, forecasts and other underlying assumptions that impact buyer valuations
• Report on potential key issues for our clients including identification of risk or price factors impacting investment decisions
• Work with high profile clients on a variety of Canadian and International engagements

About the team

 

Our Transaction Diligence, Execution & Reporting professionals enhance value through the delivery of strategic advice and execution services to owner managed mid-market companies, large corporations and financial institutions who are seeking transaction diligence advice that complement their growth strategies. 

We work with clients throughout mostly in the diligence phase, as well as with negotiating agreements with our clients’ legal team and closing a transaction.

In this role, the expected qualifications are: 

• Are working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma by September 2027, with outstanding academic credentials and are eligible to start the CPA program.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
• Demonstrates aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as financial analysis or modeling, market research and analysis, project problem diagnosis & solution development
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work in an ambiguous environment 
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.)
• Some Canadian and occasional international travel may be required. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.
• To be eligible for this role, you must be graduating between September 2026 to September 2027

 

Ottawa Location: Employees in the Ottawa Strategy Risk and Transactions practice will be required to obtain “reliability” and/or “Secret” level federal security clearances as a condition of their employment. To be eligible for a "Reliability" status you must have resided in Canada for the last five (5) years and for "Secret" level, the last ten (10) years. 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $84,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
