Primary Care Paramedics Lead Instructor

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic lead instructor for our Primary Care Paramedics Program at the Warman Campus. The instructor will plan and facilitate the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program delivery including providing tutorial and counselling assistance, facilitating labs, scenario skill practice, small groups and lectures; evaluating the course and program delivery and the result of the teaching process.

Qualifications:
Required pre-requisites:
-Completion of an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Program from an approved school
-A minimum of two years of recent experience as an ACP
-Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP)
-Current instructor-level status with International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)*
-Current instructor-level status with Basic Life Support (BLS)**
-Current provider-level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)
-Understanding of and ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required health care knowledge and skills
-Well-developed interpersonal and oral communications skills including excellent written and presentation skills and an ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with students, instructors, program administrators, employers, other clients and the public
-Demonstrates valuing diversity
-Establish and maintain relationships with Saskatchewan Polytechnic
*Required to lead EMER 113 and EMER 11 **Required to lead EMER 111
