Our RED DEER SERVICE SHOP has an exciting opportunity for a TRAILER MECHANIC to join our team!

What You Will Do
- Diagnose defects in heavy duty trucks and trailers and perform required mechanical services
- Diagnose defects in electrical and lighting systems, brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, and bearings
- Repair/Replace components for hydraulics, air systems, axles, trailer panels, suspensions, bumpers
- Perform CVIP inspections/Safety Inspections
- Perform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum trailers
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require
- The ideal candidate is a registered level 2 apprentice or higher skillset. All levels of mechanic are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated understanding of highway truck and automotive wiring
- CVIP/Safety certificate for trucks and trailers preferred but not required
- Previous welding experience is preferred but not required
- Previous experience installing plows, sanders or dump boxes is preferred but not required
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75lbs, able to work while kneeling/squatting and crouching, work at varying heights and enclosed areas
- Must posses their own tools to complete tasks
- Must have open availability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
- Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
