As a Manager, Restructuring, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Service Delivery:

• Managing a complex corporate restructuring portfolio, and in so doing, effectively manage engagement files, including overseeing a professional, technical, and administrative team.
• Evaluating complex business issues and formulating recommendations for the Court and various stakeholders to maximize creditor recoveries, while maintaining the business viability where possible.
• Stakeholder communication and negotiation - effectively interact with stakeholders with diverse interests on file engagements (creditors, debtors, lawyers, lenders, etc.) for creditors and legal inquiries.
• Financial Oversight - Tracking project progress, milestones, and deadlines, reviewing invoices, preparing payments and handling trust account duties; preparing summary of receipts and disbursements for trust accounts.
• Actively participate in professional, industry or community organizations events
• Expand brand reach: develop connections with bankers, lawyers, trustees, and other potential referral sources to promote the Firm.
• Ad Hoc projects utilizing your accounting skills and business acumen in a variety of unique, challenging, one-off, real-time assignments

Business Development:

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with other corporate restructuring professionals including lawyers, regulators, investors, and representatives of lending institutions.
• Demonstrated client development skills with a focus on building relationships and actively anticipating client and market needs. Enjoys the social aspect of marketing to key targets.
• Nurturing alumni connections: strengthen your professional network by maintaining relationships with alumni.
• Actively participate in professional, industry or community organization events.

Think you've got what it takes to be a Manager, Restructuring? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

• 3+ years of advisory experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex corporate restructuring and insolvency proceedings, or equivalent professional experience.
• Completion of a Bachelor's or advanced level degree (Masters) or professional accounting designation (CPA, CFA).
• Enrollment in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) Qualification Program in preparation to obtain Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT).
• Insolvency Expertise: possess comprehensive knowledge of insolvency proceedings and ability to attend client sites.
• Financial Acumen: Understands key performance indicators and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in File Acquisition/File Administration and File Closure
• Exceptional communication and writing skills for stakeholder communication, report writing for Court and look-see business overview reports.
• Ethical Compliance: uphold the firm's ethical standards and code of conduct for Trustees.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to be an active participant in the development of the team and the broader Advisory practice.
• Develops solutions with clients and co-workers through collaborative effort and discussion.
• Commitment to quality, excellence, and continual professional growth for yourself and for those you lead.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels and influence decision-makers.
• Desire to learn and grow, and be an integral part of a team that puts "we before me", where agility is a mindset, and where you trust your colleagues to have your back.

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don't stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $96,800-$133,100 in Toronto. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
