About Ricomart Ricomart is an independently owned neighbourhood convenience market committed to providing exceptional service, quality products, and a welcoming shopping experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an outstanding Operations Manager to help lead the business into its next phase.
About the Role
This is more than a retail job. We are seeking a leader with an ownership mindset, someone who enjoys building systems, improving operations, leading people, and finding creative ways to grow a business. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of Ricomart and will have the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the store.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, merchandising, and supplier relationships.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support staff.
- Monitor sales, expenses, and store performance.
- Develop ideas to increase revenue and improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and operational standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, grocery, convenience, or hospitality management is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions independently.
- Passion for customer service and operational excellence.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
