Global Mechanical Category Manager

Lead global mechanical sourcing strategy from Canada, applying strategic procurement expertise across castings, forgings, and plastics portfolios.This senior individual contributor role serves an analytical business environment through global category management and strategic sourcing. You will shape supplier footprints, strengthen supply continuity, and translate sourcing plans into measurable operational and financial results. The work connects factories with local, regional, and global stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Develop global mechanical category strategy and supplier footprintLead strategic sourcing initiatives following the CIPS processNegotiate agreements, price lists, and contractual termsOversee budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-reduction programsMonitor supplier performance and category resultsRequirements:
Strategic sourcing and category management experienceExperience with mechanical components, castings, forgings, or plasticsUnderstanding of supplier management and procurement processesExperience managing agreements, pricing, contracts, and performanceStrong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesApply global category strategy, supplier management, and commercial negotiation expertise to strengthen mechanical procurement performance and resilience.
