Overview:
Independent First Nations Alliance is seeking a full-time or part-time school teacher to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is eager to work with children of all abilities and has a desire to help children develop their social skills and self-esteem. We are looking for someone who can provide our children with a loving, nurturing, and educational environment that will set them up for success in the future. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Master's preferred
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with children
- Willingness to undergo background check
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to complete Independent First Nations Alliance form and provide background check report (or willing to obtain)
- CDA preferred
Responsibilities: Provide instruction that is consistent with the goals and objectives of the classroom as outlined by the teacher
- Provide guidance and assistance to students as needed during academic activities including but not limited to assisting students with homework, completing academic assignments, planning projects, supervising students when necessary, and providing constructive feedback.
- Attend all required staff meetings and staff professional development sessions as scheduled.
- Maintain professional relationships with parents and other school personnel as indicated on the calendar each month.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.50-$39.49 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
