Project Accountant - Full Time 18-Month Contract

We are seekingaProjectAccounting to join us fora full-time 18-month contract with the possibility of for location is our North Vancouver office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable invoicingandprojectreconciliation plus miscellaneous accounting duties asrequired.

• Assistwithaccountingbillingprocess improvements.

• Supportfinancial performance of project portfolio partnering with project managers to delivertimely actionable reporting.

• Review and manage client billing to ensure accuracy contract compliance andtimelycollections; resolve billing issues.

• Maintainaccurateproject financial data throughout the project lifecycle.

• Perform monthlyprojectfinancial reviews includingbudgetvariance analysis and profitability insights.

• Identifyprojectfinancial risks and irregularitiesandrecommend corrective actions.

• Manage work-in-progress (WIP) including forecasting and financial analysis.

• Serve asanERP system expert (ex. Microsoft Business Central) promoting best practices and supporting users.

• Support month-end year-end audits and financial reporting in collaboration with corporate accounting.

• Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives.

• Mentor junior team members and promote consistency in accounting practices.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or degree in accountingfinanceora relateddiscipline.

• CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.

• Minimum 5 yearsofgeneral accounting experience.

• StrongbackgroundwithMicrosoftDynamics 365Business Centralor other ERP experience.

Other Assets/Skills:

• Strong organizational skills multi-tasking and attention to detail.

• Ability to build andmaintaineffective stakeholder relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proactively prioritize workload demandsin afast-paced environment.

• Ability to continuously evaluate and adapt to new tools and practices as businessneedscontinue to grow.
