Senior Category Manager for Chemicals

Airswift is looking for a Senior Category Manager specializing in Chemicals for a six-month contract role in Calgary, AB, with potential for permanent hire. Drive strategic sourcing and optimize contracts for commodity and specialty chemicals. This Senior Category Manager role focuses on strategic sourcing, aimed at supporting a prominent Oil & Gas client. Bringing 10-15 years of progressive experience, candidates will apply advanced commercial acumen to develop sourcing strategies. Experience in managing chemical portfolios is a plus, alongside a capacity for supplier relationship management and contract governance. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies
- Lead negotiation and lifecycle management of contracts
- Conduct market research and supplier capability evaluations
- Enhance supplier relationships for continuous value creation
