A rewarding daily routine

• Be the first smile of the day by welcoming students aboard and safely transporting them between home and school.

• Help keep children safe , both inside the bus and around the vehicle while they are getting on and off.

• Create a calm, respectful and reassuring environment by ensuring safety rules are followed and promoting appropriate behaviour on board.

• Perform required safety and compliance checks before departure to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for the road.

• Keep the bus clean, tidy and welcoming to provide a pleasant experience for all passengers.

• Complete all required documentation (RDS reports, daily logs and other records) accurately and thoroughly.

• Monitor fuel levels and refuel when necessary to ensure the vehicle is always ready to go.

ALL ABOARD?

• No criminal record related to the position;

• Have a good driving record;

• Good knowledge of the local area;

• Be at least 21 years old, the minimum age required to hold a school bus driver’s licence in Quebec;

• Have at least 2 years of driving experience in Quebec;

• Proficiency in French;

• Functional knowledge of English to communicate with some English-speaking passengers;

• Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s licence;

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (required);

• Valid Canadian open work permit (required).
