Assistant Branch Manager (Rutland Branch) (Kelowna)

We are currently seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join our Rutland Branch team.
Overview The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) leads an assigned team of branch advisory employees (up to the Financial Advisor position) and ensures members receive exceptional service through leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
Responsibilities Leadership: Provide direction to branch advisory employees, conduct orientation and training, prioritize workloads, conduct coaching/mentoring sessions, complete performance reviews, build a team environment, and resolve complex or escalated member issues.
Annual Business Plan: Participate in development and achievement of the annual business plan, ensure team goals and targets are met, and provide required training and tools.
Business Development: Promote the branch and Tru Cooperative Bank in the community, participate in community events, enhance or develop new member relationships, and refer contacts and potential sales opportunities to appropriate advisors.
Financial Management: Ensure credit recommendations and approvals by direct reports follow established policies and approve credit applications within authorized limits.
Risk Management: Investigate and resolve risk management security issues, act as branch compliance officer, complete related legislative processes, and communicate legislative updates to employees.
Complete other duties as required by branch leadership.
Utilize the Day in the Life guide to prioritize and manage schedules, aligning efforts to reach goals while delivering consistent member experience.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mutual Fund License required depending on region.
4 years progressive experience in sales advisory roles within financial services.
Leadership development courses preferred.
Preferred: PFP, business development experience, sales leadership and coaching experience.
Must complete the internal Tru Cooperative certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe.
Competencies Demonstrated leadership attributes and experience coaching a sales team.
Ability to recognize needs, identify appropriate products, and build strong customer relationships.
Proven track record achieving or exceeding sales targets in retail lending and investment products and services.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment.
Positive and flexible attitude, capable of working in a busy environment.
Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and banking software programs.
Understanding of risk and risk ownership, with adherence to policies and procedures.
Travel: Overnight travel may be occasionally required, up to 6 times per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
