Job DutiesWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve our seismic processing platform. This role is primarily focused on backend engineering, distributed compute systems, cloud-native services, and scalable microservice architectures. The successful candidate will contribute to high-performance processing workflows, platform scalability, and modern engineering practices while also supporting web-based application development when needed.
The ideal candidate has strong Java experience, is comfortable working with distributed processing and cloud-native services and actively leverages AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality. Experience developing modern web applications and collaborating across cross‑functional engineering teams is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong Java and Cloud services experience.
Experience utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day software development.
Experience designing and supporting microservice-based systems.
Experience with distributed compute platforms or large-scale processing systems.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native deployments.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
Experience working within Agile development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Oil & Gas industry experience
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, etc.).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
