Luvin’Bites is looking for an organized, detail-driven School Meal Prep Specialist to join our team during morning production hours.
Unlike a high-stress, late-night restaurant line, this position focuses on high-volume batch cooking, precise portion assembly, and preparing balanced school lunches for daily delivery. If you enjoy structured culinary work, high cleanliness standards, and having your afternoons free, this is the ideal shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Batch Prep & Cooking: Execute daily recipes including fresh vegetable prep, grain/protein cooking, and sauces according to strict quality guidelines.
- Assembly & Packaging: Portion, package, and label individual student meals accurately, paying close attention to dietary preferences and allergen protocols.
- Quality & Portion Control: Maintain strict consistency across every dish and verify order lists prior to packing for route dispatch.
- Sanitation & Station Setup: Keep your prep station spotless, perform food temperature checks, and handle kitchen sanitation to FoodSafe standards.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4 hours/day, 20 hours/week) *9 am is possible
- Ideal for experienced prep cooks seeking consistent daytime hours outside of night/weekend restaurant service.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food preparation, commercial batch cooking, catering, or high-volume assembly lines.
- Speed & Detail: Able to maintain high output speed without sacrificing portion precision or neat packaging.
- Safety & Standards: Active FoodSafe Level 1 Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
- Reliability: Punctuality is essential—school delivery deadlines depend on on-time morning production.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift prep containers up to 30 lbs.
