Sessional Lecturer DRS122Y5S Acting 2 (Voice)

Description:

The course intensifies foundational work on voice and movement through class exercises and further develops acting techniques introduced in DRS121Y5with a focus on presence and authenticity. In addition to these components, students expand their understanding of backstage processes through crew work supporting third- and fourth-year productions. Crew tasks are assigned according to individualized schedules, typically concentrated in 3- to 6-week periods and including some work in the evenings and/or on weekends.

This posting is for the 0.25 FCE of the course focused on the fundamentals of voice for actors.

Salary :

• SL1 - $19,994.95 per full course = $4,998.73  

• SL2 - $21398.43 per full course = $5,349.61  

• SL2LT- $21,907.92 per full course = $5,476.98  

• SL3LT - $21,907.92 per full course = $5,476.98

Duties : All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades. 

Minimum Qualifications : BFA/BA in Acting and/or Theatre; strong evidence of established and ongoing professional experience; currency in contemporary approaches to teaching voice for actors; clear evidence of teaching expertise.
