Role Overview Industry X Advisor – Technical Architect

Industry X, referring to Industry X.0 solutions & services that help our Manufacturing clients & beyond to revolutionize the way they design, manufacture and utilize products and services, represents a significant opportunity to drive incremental growth for Avanade and Accenture on the Microsoft platform.

As a Technical Architect, you’ll be a Subject Matter Expert and responsible for providing industry‑specific guidance and insights to our clients and internal teams. You’ll be part of the global Industry X core team and support and enable our regional teams to incubate and scale industry‑specific solutions and services, with a focus on helping our clients establish shopfloor connectivity and a scalable OT Data & Platform foundation to enable new IT/OT solutions and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute across all phases of Avanade projects (e.g. Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test) using both traditional waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.

Leverage Business Analysis and Industry expertise to conduct Business Process Analysis, capture Business Requirements, and Design and Implement CRM solutions.

Lead and assist with pre‑sales engagements, meeting tight timelines.

Liaise effectively between customers, IT staff, and business partners to ensure high quality and timely resolution of customer issues and delivery.

Design and configure Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform and AI solutions; be hands‑on with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.

Assess client requirements and scope and recommend appropriate solutions.

Design conceptual and technical architectures.

Ensure project quality meets high technical standards.

Support the team in defining technical, non‑functional and operational requirements.

Partner with cross‑functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery.

Oversee the timely and effective resolution of client issues.

Assist in sales activities and planning as required.

Work under general guidance and direction, but be fully independent in own work with latitude for autonomous decision‑making related to work process.

Travel as needed; may be required to travel based on pre‑sales and project demands.

Qualifications As a Technical Architect, you will have 5+ years of proven experience in overall software enterprise architecture, a good understanding of OT and IT and an in‑depth expertise around Industrial IoT and designing Intelligent Digital Twins based on knowledge graphs and AI in the Microsoft ecosystem, especially in manufacturing and operations. In this context, the candidate should have experience working with the related Microsoft Azure and open‑source services, be familiar with most relevant Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and be able to integrate them into the Microsoft based architecture based on client scenarios. The candidate should also understand standard Ontologies and frameworks in the manufacturing and operations domain. Functional knowledge of data science, security and data platforms is key.
