The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + A willingness to be versatile and a team player in contributing towards a variety of water resources projects. + Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. + Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. + Developing solutions and assessments using hydraulic modelling techniques. + Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids. + Develop solutions for routine technical problems with limited scope. + Provision of contract administration services. + Work under supervision of a project engineer or senior-level team member. + Technical report writing. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering, or other related field with the intent to continue after the internship unless graduating. + Must have completed 2 years of study. Preferred Qualifications: + Demonstration of high-quality English report writing skills. + Proficient in using spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software. + Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, AutoCAD, BioWin, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models). + Experience with project management concepts and principles. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $19.00/hour - $27.00/hour.
