Electrical Assembler

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler. Eaton Airdrie is a fully integrated manufacturing plant that has been serving Canadian businesses for over 44 years. The hourly rate for this position is $21.50 per hour.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The hours for this role are Mon-Thurs. 6am-4:30pm

What you’ll do

Position Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for mounting and basic wiring of components with standard layouts/options, performs sub-assembly functions as required, and develops enhanced wiring skills under the direction of a more experienced Electrical Assembler.

In this function you will

• Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical, and sub-assembly components onto pan, into enclosures, structures etc.
• Wire electrical products with basic/standard options as required.
• Wire electrical products with a non-standard option.
• Check components for functionality.
• Complete checklists and other documentation as required.
• Assembler enclosures and structures when applicable.
• Deliver sub-assemblies to the production areas.
• Support inventory maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience working in an electrical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to cross train and continuously learn.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.
• Ability to recognize quality issues and make judgements
