Leasing Specialist

The Leasing Consultant for a new 55+ adult apartment community opening in  Summer 2027 focuses on relationship-driven sales and pre-leasing a building that is still under construction. This role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to sell a lifestyle from floor plans and blueprints before the property opens.

Role Overview

The Leasing Consultant drives the community's lease-up phase by building relationships with future tenants. This professional converts early inquiries into deposits and reservation agreements to ensure high occupancy upon opening.

Pre-Opening & Lease-Up Responsibilities

• Pre-Leasing & Sales: Secure early deposits, waitlist applications, and apartment reservations using floor plans, renderings, and finish samples.


• Lead Cultivation: Maintain consistent, empathetic communication with leads over a long, relationship-driven sales cycle.


• Welcome Centre Management: Conduct presentations and virtual tours from a temporary off-site welcome centre or construction trailer.


• Community Outreach: Build referral networks with local community


• Database Management: Keep accurate, detailed records of prospects in the CRM to track touch points leading up to Grand Opening events.

Post-Opening Responsibilities

• Move-In Coordination: Manage the schedule of staggered resident move-ins starting in Summer 2027 .


• Orientation: Introduce new residents to building amenities to ensure a smooth transition.


• Compliance Management: Ensure all lease agreements comply with standard local landlord laws 

Specialized Qualifications & Skills

• Empathy & Patience: Deep understanding of the unique challenges of downsizing to an apartment from a family home.


• Lease-Up Experience: Proven track record in new construction lease-ups or senior housing sales is highly preferred.


• Long-Cycle Sales: Ability to keep prospects engaged over a 6 to 12-month period before the physical building is ready.
