Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Foreman to join our Williams Lake division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading crews, coordinating day-to-day site activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Mr. T Contracting’s quality standards.

This position is ideal for an experienced carpenter or construction professional who is ready to take on a leadership role and help keep projects and crews moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise carpenters, apprentices, and labourers on site
  • Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Plan layouts, materials, equipment, and daily site requirements
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Track project progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as required
  • Ensure materials and equipment are available when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site
  • Enforce company safety policies and safe work practices
  • Mentor and support apprentices and less-experienced crew members
  • Identify site issues early and assist with practical solutions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction/carpentry experience preferred
  • Previous foreman, lead hand, or supervisory experience is an asset
  • Journeyperson Carpenter certification is preferred but equivalent
  • experience will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage crews and daily site priorities
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
