Experienced Caregiver / Personal Support Worker for Elderly Couple - 20 to 30 Hours per Week
Full-time, Part-time
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregiver to provide in-home support for our elderly mother and father. The position is approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Some flexibility for occasional weekend support may be required with advance notice. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing companionship and general support for both parents
- Assisting with dressing, mobility, washroom/bathroom needs and other personal-care activities when required
- Preparing meals and helping with cooking
- General household cleaning and keeping the home organized
- Laundry and light household duties
- Accompanying or transporting them to doctor appointments, errands, family events or other activities
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment
- During the initial period, assisting with deep cleaning, organizing and decluttering the home
- Previous experience caring for seniors
- Patient, dependable and respectful
- Comfortable assisting with personal-care needs
- Able to cook and maintain a household
- Able to provide references
- First Aid/CPR or PSW experience is an asset
