Finance Senior Associate

Job Responsibility: A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You'll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Finance Senior Associate , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution with complex financial data under the guidance of the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts related to fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other non-current assets

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records

• Prepare, review, and post complex month-end journal entries

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate month-end close

• Verify the coding of fixed asset accounts in all accounts payable (AP) CAPEX related invoices

• Process fixed asset activities, including roll-forward schedules detailing additions, disposals, adjustments, and depreciation

• Assist the Finance team during interim, hard close, year-end, and other audit/review procedures

• Ensure readiness and accuracy of financial documents and reports

• Prepare and analyze detailed activity reports

• Communicate effectively with other departments to forecast and understand upcoming expenses to be accrued

• Maintain company archive files and records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements and practices and implement best practices for document management

• Verify the accuracy of complex financial transactions

• Adjust and correct account errors as necessary, ensuring compliance with accounting standards

• Provide advanced day-to-day accounting support for the company's multiple business entities

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• Experience/education in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an asset

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle and SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under the guidance of the Assistant Controller

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
