Full-Time Patient Experience Specialist Role

Drive improvements in patient care as a Patient Experience and Volunteer Specialist at Southlake Health in Newmarket, ON. This full-time role blends volunteer management with enhancing patient experiences. Reporting to the Manager of Patient Relations, you will facilitate the entire volunteer engagement process, from recruitment to recognition. Focus on initiatives that elevate patient voice and satisfaction while promoting a culture of compassionate care. Your insights will inform significant changes within hospital services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate volunteer lifecycle, including training and placement
  • Facilitate patient experience initiatives and community engagement
  • Develop evaluation processes for volunteer and patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate on quality improvement projects using patient feedback
  • Support departments in embedding patient-centered practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in volunteer management required
  • Strong analytical and communication skills necessary
  • Proficiency in volunteer management systems an asset
  • Must be flexible with work hours, including some evenings
