Warehouse Associate – Calgary

Location: Calgary, AB
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: In Person

This location does not have access to public transportation. Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is required.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Warehouse Associate for a full-time position at a Calgary terminal. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced freight and warehouse environment, supporting the safe and efficient loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of freight.

Key Responsibilities

• Count and inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Strip trailers and stage freight in designated warehouse areas.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Move and handle freight according to company procedures to minimize damage and freight claims.
• Optimize loading and unloading processes to maintain productivity.
• Review Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping manifests, and related documentation.
• Sort and organize freight accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse area.
• Operate pallet jacks and hand dollies as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
• Perform other warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required.
• Previous warehouse or freight-handling experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, sort, and understand shipping manifests.
• Good judgment when assessing weights, distances, and heights.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative during downtime.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must follow all workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs from shoulder to floor .
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Must be available to work alternating evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation is required as public transportation is not available at this location.

Work Schedule – 2-Week Rotation

Week 1

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Wednesday: OFF
• Thursday: OFF
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Week 2

• Monday: OFF
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Saturday: OFF
• Sunday: OFF

Schedule repeats every 2 weeks.
