In this role, you will travel throughout British Columbia's Interior and Northern communities, supporting a variety of pharmacies while expanding your skills with every assignment. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy travel, variety, and stepping outside their everyday routine; where no two days are the same. Every assignment is different, giving you the opportunity to build new relationships, broaden your clinical expertise, and explore some of British Columbia's most scenic mountain, rural, and northern communities.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development. Administer vaccines and immunizations
- Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
- Counsel patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and health-related topics, including indications, contraindication, side effects, and proper usage and storage
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacist
- Injection certification is required
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
