Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Lead will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of facility equipment and systems. This hands-on role requires versatility, as you will function as an electrician, mechanic, and technician while supporting maintenance needs across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility equipment and operating systems to minimize downtime
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Collaborate with external contractors and oversee vendor work as needed
• Rebuild and prepare used equipment to meet applicable codes prior to installation
• Provide cost estimates for repairs and equipment replacements
• Perform maintenance on specialized equipment, including industrial sewing machines
• Support and uphold health and safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Maintain a safe working environment for all team members
• Complete monthly project management tasks and maintain system records
• Coordinate and participate in facility inspections and repairs
• Supervise and support an additional mechanic on the evening shift

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in:
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Low- and high-voltage industrial electrical systems
• Metal manufacturing machinery
• Millwright experience is considered a strong asset
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
