Personal Support Worker at Extendicare

Join Extendicare as a Personal Support Worker, providing essential care and support for residents in a compassionate environment. You will assist with personal care and engage with residents' needs on a part-time basis. This role requires providing personal care under supervision while adhering to Extendicare’s standards. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, alongside a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care. You will play a vital role in assessing and reporting on residents' conditions and supporting their daily activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the individualized care plan directed by the supervisor
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities
- Report changes in residents' conditions effectively
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for residents
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker program
- Experience with seniors in health service settings
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to perform lifting and transferring tasks
