Electrical Engineer-in-Training at Qualus

Kickstart your engineering career with Qualus as an Electrical Engineer-in-Training in substation design. Engage with projects ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV while collaborating with expert teams. Qualus is looking for an Electrical Engineer-in-Training to enhance our Transmission & Distribution Canada sector. You will play a key role in designing substations, reviewing project deliverables, and conducting engineering calculations. This position supports construction efforts and provides mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design coordination. Key Responsibilities:
• Design layouts and systems for electrical substations
• Review and prepare project design deliverables
• Conduct independent engineering calculations and studies
• Offer technical support during construction phases
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate design activities Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• EIT registration or progress toward P.Eng. designation
• 2–5 years of substation design experience
• Familiarity with industry codes and tools
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Advance your skills in substation design and power solutions at Qualus.
