Your Role

The Guest Service Agent , in collaboration with the Front Office Department, will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests. This role will also assist in covering night audit and overnight shifts when needed.

The Guest Service Agent is primarily responsible for:

• Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests and team members;
• Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a seamless check-in and check-out experience;
• Process guest registrations, room assignments, departures, and cancellations accurately and efficiently;
• Create, modify, and cancel reservations as required;
• Accommodate guest preferences and special requests whenever possible;
• Answer incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a professional and timely manner;
• Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, in-house events, local attractions, directions, and other available services;
• Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating matters when required;
• Follow established hotel procedures related to credit card, cash handling, and payment processing;
• Review the Front Desk logbook, emails, and daily checklists to ensure all assigned tasks and follow-up items are completed;
• Maintain knowledge of daily room rates, hotel occupancy, promotions, services, and operational updates;
• Balance transactions and complete all required shift-closing documentation in accordance with hotel standards;
• Maintain effective communication and work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments to support guest needs;
• Ensure Front Desk telephone systems and equipment are operating appropriately and report any concerns as required;
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Front Desk environment;
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, service standards, and applicable brand standards;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Department Manager.

What You Bring to the Table

• Customer Service experience, preferably in a Hotel Front Desk position;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
• Computer literate in Word and Excel. Maestro's or Opera experience is an asset;
• Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment;
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve, initiate action, and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision;
• Must be friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a professional appearance;
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and/or holidays as required;
