In your role as a Senior Application Developer, you will harness more than 10 years of experience to design and maintain high-quality applications tailored to BMO’s strategic goals. You will work across functional teams, transforming internal requirements into software solutions, while conducting comprehensive testing and code reviews. Your technical acumen will be crucial in enhancing system performance and integrating technology processes for efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop applications and software code in COBOL
- Conduct unit and integration testing for reliability
- Analyze and optimize software systems and performance
- Provide support for production issues and troubleshooting
- Create detailed design specifications from business requirements
- At least 10 years of experience with COBOL and AS400 CLP
- Strong background in Ingenium PAS versions 5.x - 7.x
- Experience in life insurance system environments
- Knowledge of documentation using JIRA and Confluence
- Exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills
