Join our dynamic team as a CAPEX Analyst , where you'll play a vital role in optimising our procurement and supply chain processes. As a CAPEX Analyst , you'll leverage your expertise to enhance procurement processes and drive efficiency. With autonomy in your role, you'll tackle challenges and contribute to the success of our procurement operations.
As a CAPEX Analyst you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic sourcing behaviours of Iron Ore Company of Canada and engage with top services suppliers.
The role will allow you to manage the procurement processes for large capital projects, collaborate with global stakeholders and grow in the company.
This role is a great opportunity to advance your career in the procurement field with a world-class organization. Working with and reporting into the Procurement Capex Lead, Vicki Hillier , you will:
- Prepare bid packages, evaluate bid proposals, perform commercial analysis and create detailed recommendations to award.
- Negotiate, develop, implement, amend and monitor supplier contracts.
- Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to measure and manage supplier performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects internal to the Procurement team and with the Operations. Focusing on Spend Optimization, Demand Management and Strategic sourcing.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business needs, fostering synergy and maximizing outcomes.
- Provide valuable guidance and support to stakeholders on procurement-related matters, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the procurement lifecycle.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience required. (Procurement/Project Management/Technical)
Skills:
- Negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PP,ect.)
- Ariba (procurement tool), Power BI and SAP experience (is an asset)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter and team player with a positive attitude
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, would be an asset.
