Job Responsibility: Paladin Security is Hiring a Casual Health Care Security Guard! Location: Smiths Falls / Perth / Brockville Hospitals / Lanark County Mental Health (Smiths Falls, ON) Pay Rate: $18.35 - $21.48/hour (Hourly) Employment Type: Casual/Part-Time About The Role Paladin Security is looking for dedicated Health Care Security Guards to join our team supporting Smiths Falls, Perth, Brockville Hospitals, and Lanark County Mental Health. This role requires professionals who are compassionate, adaptable, and committed to patient and staff safety.As a Health Care Security Guard, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, secure, and respectful environment for patients, visitors, and staff while responding to emergencies with professionalism and confidence. Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols
• Monitor and supervise patients as directed
• Apply conflict management and de-escalation techniques
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies
• Complete detailed and accurate report writing
• Investigate routine incidents and provide documentation
• Enforce parking and smoking by-laws and hospital policies
• Support policy awareness and enforcement within assigned sites
• Liaise with Paladin management, hospital staff, and clients to ensure operational demands are met
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements Must Have Criteria (Knockout Requirements)

• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid Ontario G class driving license
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding
• Pre-requisite certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Completion of mandatory onboarding training with Paladin in Kingston
• Ability to commit to a 6-month availability
• Flexibility to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift
• Flexibility to work 2-3 shifts per week, including 12-hour rotations
• Comfortable being cross-trained and deployed across Smiths Falls, Perth, Brockville Hospitals, and Lanark County Mental Health

Nice To Have (Preferred But Not Required)

• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience is an asset
