Title: Regional Mental Health and Wellness Liaison

Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Term – 18 months

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm Mon-Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Kamloops, BC, located on the unceded ancestral territory of the Secwépemc Nation – Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.

About The Role

As the Regional Mental Health and Wellness Liaison, you will support individuals, families, and communities in navigating mental health and substance use services while strengthening connections between FNHA, other health authorities, and community partners. You will also provide key written supports to the mental health and wellness team, including care planning, documentation, reporting, and guidance materials that enhance coordination and service delivery. Through advocacy, collaboration, and culturally safe, trauma-informed approaches, you will help improve access, support care transitions, and ensure continuity of services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the mental health and wellness of First Nations individuals, families, and communities. You are an effective communicator who can translate complex information into clear, thoughtful written supports. You are collaborative, culturally grounded, and comfortable navigating complex systems while advocating for culturally safe, trauma-informed care. You are also organized, detail-oriented, and able to track outcomes and share insights that help improve services across the region.

Education, Training And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or acceptable combination of education and experience
• 5-7 years of significant, recent and relevant mental health and wellness experience.
• Experience in working successfully with First Nations communities and First Nations health programs and services.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
