UI Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and extend offline and online game features.
Implement feature logic, game flows, and user interface screens.
Monitor and address feature performance and stability impacts.
Collaborate with designers to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
Support functionality across platforms with multiple input types and display sizes.
Update technologies, tools, and frameworks for different platforms.
Optimize features for performance across different hardware.
Use AI-assisted development tools to rapidly prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows while validating generated code.

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in software engineering principles and architectural design.
Proficiency in testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Experience developing user interfaces across multiple platforms and display sizes.
Experience with multi-threaded applications and data-driven, object-oriented design.
Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM.
At least 3 years of C++ software development experience.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents and the ability to critically review generated code.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience, is a bonus.
Experience with large-scale game engines and familiarity with scripting languages are bonuses.
Familiarity with applying AI to software development is a bonus.

12-month temporary full-time position with benefits.
Hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite and two days working from home in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Three weeks of vacation per year to start in Canada.
Ten sick days per year.
