This role is eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus!As a Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our guests. You will also provide support for visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick-ups, and movement of goods and merchandise.Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is committed to investing in our team members; we offer:Market competitive wages starting at $18 per hour;Comprehensive benefits plan and excellent employee discounts;Employer Sponsored Retirement Savings Plan;Career growth and continuous development;Respectful and family-oriented working environment with strong company values.As The Warehouse Transportation Handler, You WillLoad and deliver product (including furniture and appliances) to the guest’s home, and assemble product when required.Receive product, product returns, accessories, supplies, and prepare product for delivery, outbound shipments or floor placement.Conduct “pre and post” trip audits as required to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service.Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guest’s homes.Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos.Complete all required Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and comply and present all HOS logs electronically when checked at a scale or stopped by the authorities.Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules.Notify and reconcile any discrepancies and the completion of each delivery with the DCD (Delivery Completion Data) personnel.Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.Perform general store internal maintenance (i.e., light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage), and maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e., grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness).Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.As a Successful Candidate You Will Have The FollowingHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean Driver Abstract (with air considered a plus).6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience handling heavy product preferred.Experience with hand tools is an asset.Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide a high level of customer service.Excellent attention to detail.Physically able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).Willingness to travel within a 2.5 hour radius of store location, with possibility of overnight travel.Ability to work in extreme temperatures.Safety footwear required.Clear Criminal Record Check required.#ca123
