Structural Engineering Section Manager
HDR ICA ENGINEERING
Lead structural engineering delivery at HDR in Toronto, combining team management with technical leadership across building projects. Apply structural analysis and design expertise.As Structural Section Manager, you will guide HDR’s Building Engineering Services structural team. You will oversee staff development, project execution, workload, quality control, and technical services. The position includes project management, marketing support, and multidisciplinary coordination across Architecture and engineering groups.Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily Structural section operations and project profitabilityLead structural project production and successful deliverySelect, train, develop, and manage technical personnelProvide structural analysis, design, and construction-phase leadershipCoordinate workload, staffing, reviews, and multidisciplinary worksharingRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years of experiencePrior leadership and management experienceStrong communication, listening, leadership, and organizational skillsProfessional registration, license, or certification may be requiredSupport HDR’s structural engineering team through project delivery, technical excellence, staff development, and coordinated quality control.
