Job Summary

The Team Lead Pharmacy Operations will work closely with the Supervisor to provide guidance and instruction to the team by delegating work, overseeing progress toward daily operation goals, and coaching team members as needed. The Supervisor, Pharmacy is a successor role for the Team Lead Pharmacy Operations role and can also serve as a backup for other Lead Positions.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

  • Leads, communicates, coordinates, and interacts with all McKesson staff in a manner that promotes and maintains a high level of respect, integrity, operational efficiency and patient‑focused service
  • Responsible for the operational activities of a variety of functional area as assigned
  • Provide metric based updates to Supervisor at frequent and regularly scheduled intervals to ensure operational success
  • Supports the Supervisor with the development and execution of policies and practices; acts in accordance with Pharmacy policies and seeks assistance with unusual situations and/or staff nonadherence
  • Review and analyze reports and confers with Manager/Supervisor to obtain data required for planning activities, status of work in progress, and problems encountered
  • Supports the Supervisor and Quality Assurance team to identify, investigate, evaluate and follow‑up on all risk incidents and quality issue concerns, as related to the case management team
  • Required to be a point of escalation for both PSP and provider solutions workflows as needed
  • Provides regular feedback to the Supervisor regarding quality, operational, technical and/or process issues involving program, team or individual
  • Allocation of related resources as needed to ensure effective and efficient delivery of departmental service levels
  • Identifies collective or individual staff non‑adherence to scheduling policies, attendance issues or trends, and/or other Workforce Management issues to the Supervisor on a regular basis
  • Collaborates with the Supervisor, Pharmacy Operations, to analyze Workforce Management, attendance statistics, and activity metrics on a regular basis
  • Understanding of technology and communications infrastructure, software applications, other databases and resources, and call processes used to provide services to patients
  • Assists in troubleshooting basic technical issues; identifies education required by specific individuals and/or teams to foster their independence in terms of addressing technology issues
  • Shift work required at least 1 closing shift per week, which may extend past (8 - 9pm based on location)
  • Weekends as required, including, but not limited to inventory

Section B – Key Requirements

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office.
  • Applicants must have at least a grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset

Experiences

  • 3+ years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy preferred but not required

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$63,000 - $84,000
